The development percentiles of your baby based on the entered information are shown above. These values are average reference points.

What is Baby Percentile and Why is it Important?

Baby percentile curves are standard reference tables used to evaluate babies' height and weight development according to their age and gender. These curves are used by doctors and parents to understand whether a baby's development is within a healthy range. A baby's percentile value indicates their rank among 100 babies of the same age and gender. For example, if a baby is in the 50th percentile, it means they are larger than 50% and smaller than 50% of babies of the same age.

Percentile tracking is critical for early diagnosis of potential health issues such as inadequate nutrition, growth hormone problems, or other developmental delays. During regular check-ups, doctors monitor the baby's percentile values over time to gain insight into developmental trends.

How to Interpret Percentile Values?

Generally accepted percentile ranges and their meanings are as follows:

Percentile Range Interpretation
< 3rd PercentileVery Low (possible malnutrition or developmental delay)
3rd - 10th PercentileLow (may require follow-up)
10th - 90th PercentileNormal Range (healthy development)
90th - 97th PercentileHigh (may require follow-up, especially for weight)
> 97th PercentileVery High (possible obesity risk or rapid growth)

It should be noted that percentile values alone do not constitute a diagnosis. For the most accurate assessment and interpretation of your baby's development, it is always important to consult a pediatrician. This tool is for informational purposes only.
