What is Daily Calorie Need?

How to Calculate Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)?
A large portion of your daily calorie needs are determined by your **Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)**, which is the amount of energy your body burns even when you are at rest. One of the most commonly used formulas for calculating BMR is the **Mifflin-St Jeor Formula**:
**For men:** BMR = (10 × weight (kg)) + (6.25 × height (cm)) - (5 × age (years)) + 5
**For women:** BMR = (10 × weight (kg)) + (6.25 × height (cm)) - (5 × age (years)) - 161

Activity Level and Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE)
